Facilities

The Facilities branch is responsible for the planning, coordination and supervision of maintenance services and facility operations in order to provide a safe and healthy school environment for the students and all staff. The branch is responsible for 16 facilities including the grounds and related equipment. The Facilities Manager leads an experienced maintenance staff of 6 with the support of a Facilities Clerk.

The Facilities team is made up of the following people:

Facilities Manager – Bob Price

Responsibilities –

  • Ensure that all school related buildings provide a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage financial resources
  • Oversee maintenance repairs and construction operations
  • Respond to emergency environment and building problems which impact on the health and safety of occupants
  • Assist regulatory authorities during inspections of school buildings
  • Ensure minimal disruption of school activities during capital projects
  • Assign activities for maintenance and repairs to schools by custodial personnel.

Facilities Clerk – Gayle O'Connor

Responsibilities –

  • Schedule casual custodians assignments
  • Work on the maintenance planning and control (MPC) program ensuring work orders are assigned and orders are completed.

Maintenance Repairworkers – ( 2- East; 3-West; 1- GM)
